To transfer a domain from your current registrar to Trance Host, a few steps are necessary.
First, you will need to contact your current registrar to both obtain the EPP authorization key and ensure the domain is currently unlocked. Secondly, you can submit payment for the domain transfer by signing up at domains.trancehost.com. The transfer fee will add a year of registration to the current domain, and thus simply acts as an early renewal. When processing the transfer, you will be asked to input your EPP authorisation key.
Please understand that a domain transfer can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days. During this time, a verification e-mail will be sent to the registrant e-mail contact on the WHOIS information for the domain in question. This email must be verified and approved for the transfer to complete. Upon completion, the domain will be completely manageable via your Trance Host account.
To note, if the domain you wish to transfer is nearing expiration, the transfer must complete prior to the expiration date. If the expiration date is reached, the domain must be renewed at the current registrar and 60 days must pass before the domain can be transferred away. Unfortunately, this is a requirement for all domains in general, and is not a restriction provisioned by Trance Host.
